DRAFT STORY TELLING HOT SEAT

             

 Long time ago, there was a kingdom in West Java. The kingdom was roled by a king called Prabu. The king was a wise and kind-hearted. Under Prabu’s leadership, the kingdom grew into a prosperous kingdom. There’s no hunger in the kingdom. Everybody in the kingdom loved their king. Unfortunately, he hadn’t got any children yet. It made the couple very sad. They were lonely. Further-more, they were worried about who would be their successor.

That was why Prabu decided to go to the jungle. There, he meditated and prayed to God. His dream finally came true. A few months later, the queen got pregnant. When the baby girl was born, all people in the kingdom felt very happy. Then, sent many presents to the palace to express their happiness. The people presented many gifts for the baby.

Prabu and the queen loved their daughter so much. They gave whatever she wanted. It made the princess grew into a spoiled girl. When her wish couldn’t be fullfilled, she would be very angry. She even said bad things often. Eventhough the princess behaved badly, her parents still loved her, and so did the people in the kingdom.

          Then, time passed and the princess grow more beautiful. In a few days, the princess would be seventeen years old. That’s why people of that kingdom brought many presents for her. The king took some gold and jewels. He asked a goldsmith to make a beautiful necklace for the princess.

          On the princess birthday, people gathered in the courtyard. Then Prabu and the queen appeared. They waved to their beloved people. Cheers were loud and louder when the princess appeared. The King give necklace for princess but she refused it.

Everybody was speechless. No body could say anything. They didn’t believe that the princess would do such a cruel thing to hurt everybody’s feeling. The queen and the people were sad. They began crying.

People called the lake “Telaga Warna”. On a bright day, it is full of colors. The colors come from the shadows of forest, plants, flowers and sky around the lake. However, some people said that the shadows are from the pieces of princess necklace which are scrattered at the bottom of the lake.
